Age UK Horsham District is a local independent charity with a team of 30 staff members and over 100 volunteers.

We help approximately 1,500 local older people every year, offering activities, events, befriending and information.

Clubs Team Leader - Lavinia House

We are planning to relaunch our social club from June 2019 and are now seeking an experienced Team leader to manage the day to day running of the clubs, based on the Five Ways to Wellbeing: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give.

This role is based at Lavinia House, Horsham [You must have access to your own transport and a valid driving licence to apply]

The Team Leader will line manage one Cook and two Activity Assistants and coordinate up to 20 volunteers.

If you have strong inter-personal skills, knowledge and experience of the needs of older people, and are willing to make a difference locally, we want to hear from you.

Working days: Tuesday to Friday

Hours: 28 per week

Salary: £22,777 pa (full time equivalent – pro rata for part-time working)

Cook - Lavinia House

With the planned relaunch of our social club from June 2019, we are seeking an experienced Cook to prepare balanced and nutritious meals, cakes and snacks that will delight a wide range of visitors within the centre, within time restrictions.

You must have strong inter-personal skills, knowledge and experience of the needs of older people. If you would like to make a difference to the lives of older local people in the Horsham area by ensuring that those attending can enjoy a choice of nutritious meals and snacks on a daily basis, we would love to meet you.

Working days: Tuesday to Friday

Hours: 20 per week

Salary: £16,398 pa (full time equivalent – pro rata for part-time working) £9.01 perhour

Home Helps, Handypersons and Gardeners

We would like to talk to you if you are interested in becoming part of our team of self-employed workers to help with the delivery of the Help at Home, Gardening or Handyperson services across the district.

We act as the contact point for customers and workers and allocate tasks according to the type of job, locality and customer requirements.

You would be responsible for carrying out the work and collecting your payment.
