Age UK Horsham District is a local independent charity with a team of 30 staff members and over 100 volunteers.

We help approximately 1,500 local older people every year, offering activities, events, befriending and information.

Volunteer Co-ordinator (part time)

Having recently secured funding for one year, we are now wishing to recruit a Volunteer Co-ordinator to join our team.

The post holder will co-ordinate all aspects of our volunteers’ journey from recruitment, selection, induction, training and supervision.

You will work closely with the Visiting Service Co-ordinator who delivers the Visiting Service, which provides 1:1 support for some of Horsham District’s most lonely and isolated older adults.

You will also support volunteer recognition events and produce volunteer communications.

The role is based at Age UK Horsham District’s, with occasional travel throughout the district. The role may require some evening and weekend work.

Hours: 14 per week

Working pattern: Between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday

Location: Based at Lavinia House, Dukes Square, Horsham, RH12 1GZ

Salary: £18,691 (Pro rata for part time work £7,476)

Contract: One year fixed term

Dementia Club Co-ordinator (Horsham)

Age UK Horsham District provides dementia clubs across the district which enables carers to have respite whilst members access a day of dementia friendly activities.

We are looking to recruit a Club Co-ordinator with proven experience working with older people (ideally with dementia). You should be used to working as part of a small team and be able to provide a high quality service.

Your role will be to support the Services Manager to expand and develop the club to ensure all members are cared for in a stimulating and safe environment and that Carers are supported in their caring role. You will also be expected to attend regular team meetings.

Working pattern: Mondays

Salary: £10.27 per hour

Home Helps, Handypersons and Gardeners

We would like to talk to you if you are interested in becoming part of our team of self-employed workers to help with the delivery of the Help at Home, Gardening or Handyperson services across the district.

We act as the contact point for customers and workers and allocate tasks according to the type of job, locality and customer requirements.

You would be responsible for carrying out the work and collecting your payment.
