Age UK Horsham District offers Village Agent services in the Rusper, Faygate and Colgate areas of the district.
This service provides a local, friendly face supporting those in rural communities with advice and practical help.
How we can help?
We can help you by ensuring you have the right information that you need to meet your needs and by putting you in contact with organisations that provide services that you need.
We can provide high quality information and advice to the local community.
We can support people in later life by promoting health and independence within the local community.
However isolated you might feel – we are here for you. Often a local Village Agent will be closer than you think.
Who is this for?
Anybody over 50 or their carer(s).
What is available?
Somebody to talk to where you live. The Village Agent knows the ins and outs of their neighbourhood, as well as all that Age UK Horsham District has to offer. Wherever you meet, you’ll be able to speak in confidence and they’ll draw on the best information and advice.
The Village Agent will also work with people to support existing and new activities. It might be anything from a book club to a prescription delivery service.
Where and when?
In your home or neighbourhood, at a time that suits you. You might meet up with a Village Agent at a weekly information drop-in, a coffee morning or a local event. Or it might be that a home visit is best – whatever works for you.
How much does it cost?
This is a free service provided by Age UK Horsham District.
