Age UK Isle of Wight is a local, independent charity and we often attend Isand events to raise awareness and fundraise. Every year, we attend many events and we are always welcoming volunteers to support us.
Each of our events is organised many months in advanced offering the chance of you being able to plan ahead and volunteer when you are available.

How you might be supporting
- Set up, manning, or close down of stalls at events.
- Meet and greet visitors.
- Attending street or event collections.
- Talking about the work of Age UK IW.
- Promoting the sale of raffle tickets, or any other fundraiser being run.
- Helping guide participants of challenge events.
- Helping set up and marshal challenge events.
- Visiting community groups and representing Age UK IW.
- Taking monetary donations through cash or card payment.
- Supporting staff as required.
Qualities of an Event Volunteer
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good timekeeping.
- Team player
- Clear communication skills
- Knowledge of Age UKIW.
