Co-operative Pioneer Awards

Last week we were invited to join the East of England Co-Operative at the picturesque Wherstead Park in Ipswich to find out more about their fundraising campaigns and how they are supporting local communities.

As well as having several fantastic campaigns including a community token scheme, they've been busy raising funds at their annual Co-operative Pioneer Awards which celebrates, recognises and rewards their suppliers who support them in championing a better way of doing business.

Age UK Norfolk were one of four local charities nominated by The East of England Co-op to receive  a share of £16,000 monies raised at the annual Co-operative Pioneer Awards.

A representative for the East of England Co-Operative said, "The East of England Co-op were proud to nominate Age UK Norfolk who strive to make Norfolk a great place to grow older, offering a wide range of services to  support older people in later life. This vison is shared by The Co-op who are embarking on a new campaign supporting the challenges of an ageing population."

Here at Age UK Norfolk we are incredibly grateful for the donation we have received from the East of England Co-Operative, every single penny really does help us to continue providing our vital services which include our information and advice help line, advocacy, telephone befriending and much more.

Thank you to the East of England Co-Operative for helping us to continue making Norfolk a great place to grow older.
