We are a local independent charity providing services and support to around 18,000 older people and their families every year. Our workforce is made up of 158 salaried full-time and part-time employees, 36 casual workers and 73 Domestic Care Workers. We also rely on 197 active volunteers to enable us to reduce loneliness and make a positive difference to older people throughout the county.

Domestic Care Worker Relief Support Role
Come and help older people look after their home by cleaning the kitchen and bathroom and carrying out domestic tasks for them. You can enable them to enjoy living independently. No personal care is involved, just a willingness to do a good job and provide a reliable service.

Deputy Shop Manager Higham Ferrers
Sundays only! Come and help us run our lovely shop in the centre of Higham Ferrers. As one of three part-time Deputy Shop Managers you will help manage our team of friendly volunteers and ensure the shop is tidy, well-stocked and a welcoming place to visit for customers and donors alike.

Floating Key Holder
We need someone to provide management support at our eight shops across the county, helping to keep the shops open and running smoothly. This may be at short notice, so being flexible is a key requirement of this role. If you love retail and would like to make a positive difference to your community, this is the job for you.

Day Care Coordinator
We need a caring, confident person to lead our team at our Day Centre in Northampton, to ensure that older people attending our day centre have a positive experience and that we provide a high standard of care.

Casual roles

Care Support at Home Support Worker
Come and work for us and provide older people with company and support in their own home. You can do a jigsaw puzzle together or potter in the greenhouse or look through family photo albums and reminisce about happy times. You will also be providing support for their carer so that they can take a break.

Handyperson
We need to recruit a handyperson to carry out practical tasks in the homes of older people that will enable to them live safely and independently. If you have proven handyperson skills and can competently fit key safes, grabrails and stair rails and install personal alarm equipment, we'd love to hear from you.

Gardener
We need reliable, active people to provide a garden maintenance service that takes the worry out of keeping a garden tidy for our clients. If you have an interest in gardening and would like to help older people enjoy their garden, this is a flexible, part-time role that would suit you.

We need to recruit reliable, caring people to visit clients at home to provide a basic toenail-cutting service. We aim to provide a personal service, regardless of age or ability, in a safe environment that will enhance a person's mobility and comfort. Come and meet new people and help them feel better!
