Volunteer for us
Thank you to the many people who contact us expressing an interest in volunteering for Age UK Northamptonshire.
Our Volunteer Co-ordinator Jo Gunnett responds to every enquiry.
We regularly get enquiries about volunteering to visit older people at home as a befriender, especially around Christmas time. Although this is not a service we currently provide in Northamptonshire we do run services where a volunteer provides valuable support to older people at home. Please get in touch to find out more.
Volunteers needed in our shops
Our charity shops are a great place to work because you will be part of a friendly team and can enjoy a chat with the customers. If you are interested in retro or vintage collectables, or passionate about recycling and re-using clothes, this is your chance to be in the thick of it, making a difference.
Our shop volunteers have a varied role working in all areas of the shop, from sorting donations behind the scenes to operating the till, helping to keep the shopfloor tidy and at all times providing the excellent customer-service that Age UK Northamptonshire insists on.
The run-up to Christmas is always an especially busy and rewarding time to be a volunteer. Our shops raise vital funds that support the services we provide for older people throughout Northamptonshire. Without our volunteers we would not be able to run any of our shops – your spare time makes all the difference.
We are particularly keen to recruit in our Oundle and Corby shops. Please either pop into the shop and speak to the manager or contact Jo Gunnett for an application form. It couldn’t be easier!
Older people are lonely or need your support all year round and we could really use your help. There are many ways to volunteer.
