Lottery 25 years

2019 marks the 25th Birthday of the National Lottery, with the first draw taking place on 19th November 1994. Since then, National Lottery players have raised more than £39 billion for good causes.
Over the past 25years, 535,000 individual grants have been awarded in the UK- the equivalent of around 190 life changing projects in every UK postcode district.
Age UK Redbridge, Barking & Havering are just one of the organisations who have benefitted from these grants, with the money granted enabling us to offer our Befriending and Social Activities services to more people across the three Boroughs we serve.
