VIDEO: Havering Health Champions host fantastic community event at Rainham Library

Havering's Volunteer Health Champions held their first community event at Rainham library on 7th September 2023. The event was organised by Health Champions Sharon and Suzannah and was a big success with a large amount of the local community coming out to attend.
Many organisations were present such as Diabetes UK, Everyone Active, The Proper Blokes Club, and IAPT Talking Therapies. A chef was also present to help guide locals learn cheap and cheerful recipes to help their dietary needs, rather than relying on ready made foods.
The local event was the first held by our Health Champions and gave the community the opportunity to widen their approach to better health such as looking at aspects such as exercise and better diets to improve health all round.
This was a fantastic event and one that will hopefully be repeated across many different parts of the borough to help as many Havering residents as possible.
