Ageing Well Community Wellness and Empowerment Service is a new service jointly funded by the London Borough of Havering and the NHS offering an integrated approach to enabling older residents aged 50+ to live well and independently and access support services they need.

Who delivers the service?

The service is led by Age UK Redbridge, Barking and Havering in partnership with the British Red Cross and Age UK East London and brings together the longstanding expertise of these organisations in supporting older residents in Havering.

What support is available?

Older residents will be able to access:

• Support to navigate the health and social care system and facilitate knowledge and access to local services
• Social activity groups
• Health, wellbeing and nutrition advice
• Digital skills sessions
• Falls prevention advice and access to exercise opportunities to improve strength and balance.
• Support with hospital discharge to a safe home environment (provided by our partner British Red Cross).
• Support with small aids and equipment to improve home safety and independence (provided by our partner Age UK East London).
