You might just find yourself experiencing déjà brew if you become a regular at Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin’s new men’s breakfast club.

The new club for men aged over 50 will start at the Toby Carvery in Telford on 23 January and will then meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 10.00am.

‘One of our lovely volunteers, Clifford, will be running the club,’ says Claire Fishlock, Service Development Officer for Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin. ‘The purpose of the group is to enjoy a great breakfast while socialising and perhaps making new friends.’

Breakfast costs £5.99, which includes a hot drink with unlimited refills of tea or coffee. Dominoes and cards will be available in case anyone wishes to play a game after breakfast.

‘In the future, if members wish to add a gardening group or walking group to this, we would be very happy to support them. We are looking for the men attending this group to take ownership of it, and we will support this 100 per cent.’

To book your place at the breakfast club or if you’d just like to find out more about it, call Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin on 01743 233 123 or email enquiries@ageukstw.org.uk
