Local crafters, independent businesses and Starbucks Sainsbury’s are coming together in Telford this October for a special fundraising craft fayre in aid of Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin.

Brew & Browse, a local crafters, makers and small business fayre, will take place on Saturday 10 October, from 11.00am to 3.00pm, at Starbucks Sainsbury’s, Forge Retail Park, Telford, offering visitors the chance to browse a fantastic selection of handmade and locally created products while helping to raise money to support vulnerable older people in the area.

With a wide variety of stalls planned, there will be something for everyone, whether you're looking for an unusual gift, a treat for yourself, or simply want to enjoy an afternoon discovering the talents of local makers and small businesses.

Visitors can expect to find handmade fabric items including hats and bags, delicious homemade cakes such as cookie pies, handmade cards, diamond art creations, lasered gifts, toys and gift items, resin Christmas decorations and 3D-printed creations.

With Christmas just around the corner, the fayre could be the perfect opportunity to get ahead with some unique presents and festive decorations, while supporting independent local businesses at the same time.

There will also be a tombola run by the team at Starbucks Sainsbury’s, giving visitors another chance to take part and help boost the fundraising total for Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin.

The event has been organised by Starbucks Sainsbury’s in Telford in support of Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin, bringing the local community together for an enjoyable day of shopping and discovering local creativity, all while raising vital funds to support older people across the county.

Claire Fishlock, Senior Service Development Officer at Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Starbucks Sainsbury’s for launching Brew & Browse and supporting our charity, with special thanks to Jade Morby and Lucie Copner for organising such a fantastic event. We’d love to see lots of people come along, discover some wonderful local products and be able to socialise in a safe and relaxing environment.”

Money raised through Brew & Browse will help support the work of Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin, a local independent charity which provides a range of services aimed at helping older people to remain independent, socially connected, supported and informed. Staff from the charity will be available at the event to discuss the services it provides including information and advice, advocacy, befriending, day centres, dementia services, wills and estate planning and a variety of wellbeing activity groups.

Whether you're looking for a handmade gift, something special for Christmas, a sweet treat, or simply fancy supporting local talent, Brew & Browse promises to be a great event where everyone is welcome.
