We have a group turnover of approximately £2.5million with a large percentage coming from local government funding and a staff of around 100. 

We are a lively and innovative charity providing a wide range of services and support to older people throughout the county which include our Elderberry Club - respite for Dementia Carers, Activity & Social Centres along with our Community Based Clubs, Home from Hospital, Information & Advice and Help at Home. Current Vacancies

Senior Community Link Worker/Development Officer

35 hours a week. Salary £21,130 per annum based in Mid-Sussex

The Senior Community Link Worker/Development Officer will work alongside existing services to bridge the gap between GP Surgeries, other health and social care agencies and local community services. They will support patients to navigate their way around Health, Social Care and Voluntary Sector Services to access community based solutions to help manage their conditions and improve their quality of life.

They will work with specialists to organise, set up and deliver group therapies and peer support groups to provide patients with specialist and peer support to achieve their desired outcomes.

The CLSDO will work with a team of volunteers to provide patients with the information and advice to identify solutions to their circumstances and bring about the changes necessary to improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life.  

The other part of the role will be to manage, supervise and support the Community Link Workers (CLW) and volunteers.

The post requires you to have a full driving licence and use of a car.

Chef, Adur Community Clubs & Elderberry Service

10 hours a week, 2 days a week; Tuesday in Shoreham and Thursday in Sompting. 9.30am – 2.30pm 
4 hours every other Saturday at The Laurels Centre, Rustington 10am – 2pm

About the role:

One of your key responsibilities will be preparing home made, quality meals. You will get to know our members so will respond to any special dietary requirements or preferences, promoting choice, dignity and respect.
Managing the kitchen supplies, you will also be responsible for checking and maintaining kitchen equipment
You will complete all necessary paperwork such as COSHH, HACPP, whilst adhering to company policies and procedures 
Support the Community Activities and Dementia Services Managers in training and supporting kitchen volunteers
Occasionally you will help cater for ad hoc special events that take place over the weekend or in the evening
Needs to be a car driver.

Help at Home - Home Helpers required

We are looking for SELF EMPLOYED HOME HELPS in the CRAWLEY, MID SUSSEX, CHICHESTER, ARUN AND ADUR areas to help with household tasks, cleaning, shopping and provide social support to assist older people to remain independent in their own homes.

Working between Monday and Friday, the hours are flexible and according to your availability.  Rates of pay are £10 - £14 an hour dependent on your area of work.

Car drivers preferred but not essential.
