We are very grateful to receive funding from WSCC and Mid Sussex District council for our Centre but it is your fundraising efforts, support and donations that make the extra difference to what we can do. Without you and your support we couldn't continue to provide vital services supporting older adults in Haywards Heath and the surrounding areas.
A large part of our income is made through sales at our popular Lamb House Garden Café, which serves home cooked food and is used for various functions throughout the year.
We rely heavily on donations to help fund projects and services for unmet needs, especially for the most vulnerable older people. We raise money for our work by holding a number of events at Lamb House including our ever popular quiz nights, line dancing evenings, Saturday Bingo, and taking part in challenge events including the Velo South 100 mile cycle. We also team up with Blind Veterans to run lunch clubs to raise funds and awareness for both charities.
As well as our fundraising events, we receive generous donations from our members and their families including legacies and in memorium donations. We also receive funds from organisations, including corporate partners, charitable trusts and foundations and other grant-making bodies.
Our thanks go out to everyone who has helped in one way or another including Gatwick Airport community trust, Morrisons, Santander and the Kleinwort Trust.
During the year the Lamb House fundraising team at Haywards Heath centre raised approximately £15,000 and had a lot of fun along the way. If you'd like to join in with the fun and fundraise for the Centre click here.
