Tesco Bags of Help

Tesco have announced that their Bags of Help scheme has provided more than £67 million of funding to over 21,000 community groups, including us! 

We took part in Tesco's Bags of Help initiative throughout Durham during May and June 2018 and as the Durham winner we received £4000 from Tesco.  We used this to support our Beat the Scammers project which helps protect vulnerable older people who are targeted by telephone scammers. 

Thanks to everyone who voted for us, over 2000 vulnerable older people received our support and a BIG  thank you Tesco for choosing us to take part in their scheme.

As Tesco mark their 100th birthday this year they are offering organisations who received funding from their Bags of Help scheme the chance to an win extra £100 taking part in their Twitter competition today.

Happy 100th Birthday Tesco!  We hope that Tesco will continue to work and support local projects for another 100 years!
