Llanberis Lake Railway Trip 14th September, 2022

On Wednesday the 14^th September Age Cymru Gwynedd a Môn had an afternoon to remember! We organised a trip to visit the Llanberis Lake Railway.  This was the first trip in quite a few years that the organisation had arranged and everybody was looking forward to it.

A coach was arranged to pick everyone up at Y Cartref, Bontnewydd at lunch time so as we could meet the Llanberis Lake Railway train for 1.30pm at Llanberis.  We had a leisurely train ride along Padarn Lake and back; the weather was in our favour.  After arriving back at the station there was an opportunity for everyone to have a look at the exhibition celebrating the 50^th anniversary of the Llanberis Lake Railway.

Then to finish off the afternoon it was off to the café for tea and a chat, then off to meet the coach to take us back to Y Cartref, Bontnewydd.

We would like to thank John and all the Llanberis Lake Railway staff for a memorable afternoon and also we’d like to thank Now our Bws Peris driver for the safe journey there and back!

We all had a day to remember, enjoyed by everyone.  We’re now ready for our next trip!
