New shop in Burnley: Donations & Volunteer Staff needed

This Spring, Age UK Lancashire will be opening its newest Shop in Burnley on Temple Street.

The store will help raise money for vital services delivered by Age UK Lancashire to older people such as their helpline, their information and advice service and other services.  

Age UK Lancashire is now keen to receive donations including good quality furniture, electrical items, clothing, bric-a-brac. For all larger donations, Age UK Lancashire run a collection service, please call Rob Ledger on 07855 119988 to arrange a free collection.

You can take your smaller donations to any Age UK Lancashire shop with Accrington and Nelson being the closest. Once the shop is open, donations will be accepted there.

Age UK Lancashire is also looking for local volunteers who can spare a few hours a week to help the staff in a wide variety of roles, such as sorting stock and serving customers, display and social media support.

Head of Retail, Janine Dawson said: "We’re really excited to be opening a new shop in Burnley. By shopping, donating, and volunteering with Age UK Lancashire, you will be helping us to raise much-needed funds which are used to provide vital services to the local community."

The opening date is not yet been confirmed but is set to be in early spring.
