Since the Coronavirus pandemic hit the UK in March, we as a local charity have been working tirelessly to ensure the most vulnerable and lonely older people have the support they need. Thanks to the generosity and support from local people and businesses, we have been able to reach out to those who needed it the most across the county.

Who we have helped

Age UK Lancashire Heroes

Our Age UK Lancashire Heroes work on the front-line 7 days a week, supporting older people in Lancashire. From delivering food and medication to the vulnerable to taking care of people in hospital and at home, our team have gone above and beyond to help the community throughout this difficult time.

Community & Local Business Support

We are very grateful for all the donations and support we have received from local businesses including; toilet rolls, pet food, PPE equipment, essential items and equipment to enable our teams to work remotely, enabling us to respond quickly and support older people in Lancashire. We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all the companies for their support.

During the pandemic it has been brilliant to see the efforts our community have gone to raising money for Age UK Lancashire. From head and beard shaving to a 10k run and violin playing we are really grateful for your help. So far this has helped us to raise £4700 for our Isolation Response Appeal which is brilliant!

Our target is £10,000 so if you would like to support our charity in any way, perhaps you could take part in a personal challenge such as running or walking, or you could get some sponsorship for doing something weird and wonderful?  If you would like to support our cause, email fundraising@ageuklancs.org.uk or visit JustGiving.

Thank you to our Funders

We would like to thank our funders for supporting us through the pandemic, providing funds that have enabled us to deliver response services and access PPE equipment for our front line workers.
