The innocent Big Knit for Age UK is back... wool you join us?

If there's one thing we learnt from last year's innocent Big Knit, it's that Plymouth doesn't do things by halves.

We asked for 2,500 tiny hats and honestly thought we were being ambitious. You responded with 4,799. That's 4,799 little knitted masterpieces, countless hours of crafting and £1,439.70 raised for Age UK Plymouth.

So naturally, we've decided to test our luck again.

This year's challenge is 10,000 hats!

It sounds like a lot, but then so did 2,500 this time last year - and look how that turned out.

What's knot to love?

The innocent Big Knit is one of those campaigns that's impossible not to love. Every tiny hat that ends up on top of an innocent smoothie bottle helps make a difference, with innocent donating 30p from every hatted smoothie sold to Age UK. That funding is shared between Age UK and local partners like us, helping older people in Plymouth access the support they need.

One of our favourite things about last year's campaign was seeing who got involved. There were lifelong knitters, people piking up needles for the first time, craft clubs, community groups, workplaces, schools, friends and families, all creating something together.

That's exactly what we'd love to see again this year.

If you're wondering where to start, innocent release a fresh collection of knitting patterns every year, with plenty for beginners as well as those who fancy a bit more of a challenge. So gather your yarn or rally your knitting crew - every single hat brings us a little closer to that 10,000 target.

Please note: We are currently waiting for a deadline to be confirmed from innocent, but please feel free to start sending your hats in as soon as you are finished.
