Could you help us bring Age UK Plymouth into your community?

Could your venue help us make a difference?
Sometimes, a little bit of advice can change someone's life. It could mean an older person finding out they're entitled to extra money each month, getting the help they need to stay warm at home, or simply feeling less worried about what comes next.
In 2025/26, Age UK Plymouth helped secure £1.9 million in benefits for older people - money they may never have known they were entitled to. That's a huge difference to people's lives, and we want to make sure even more people across Plymouth get the support they deserve.
We're looking to team up with local venues and organisations that may already hear from older people who need help with benefits, housing or money worries, but aren't always able to offer the specialist advice they're looking for.
That's where we'd love to come in!
A little support can go a long way
Our Information and Advice team helps people understand what support is available to them and how to access it. We specialise in maximising income for people of State Pension age and over, checking benefit eligibility and helping people claim financial support they're entitled to. We also provide people aged 50 and over with advice and guidance on housing, care and support options, energy efficiency and our Home Energy Checks.
Making sure older people receive the benefits they're entitled to is a huge part of what we do. That extra income can make a real difference to everyday life, helping ease money worries and giving people greater peace of mind and independence. So many people simply don't realise what support is available to them, and we love helping turn "I didn't know" into "I'm so glad I asked."
Fancy being part of it?
If your organisation regularly speaks to older people who could use a little extra support, we'd love to hear from you. You might already be helping people with all sorts of questions and simply need somewhere to turn when things get a bit more complex.
We're looking for welcoming local venues with a private space where our team can chat with people confidentially. Sessions can be weekly, monthly or just the occasional visit - whatever works best for you and your community.
By opening your doors to Age UK Plymouth, you could help someone discover support they never knew was available and make life that little bit easier.
Sound like something your organisation could get involved in? We'd love to have a chat!
