A Royal Visit by Paula Bee

On May 22nd I was privileged to be invited to share in the HRH Prince Charles 70th birthday celebrations along with many other voluntary sector leaders. 

The Prince of Wales is patron to more than 400 charities, including our national partner Age UK and the series of garden parties, catering for thousands of sector representatives were a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the work of these charitable organisations.

The event saw Prince Harry thanking his father for all his dynamic and supportive work. The thanks was duly echoed by the smiling crowds, who aside from being treated to an exquisite tea were united in their commitment to the power of the human spirit to effect positive change.

It isn't often that the voluntary sector is given such a positive, high profile and it was wonderful to be a part of it!
