Jack's Beard Shave

Age UK Wakefield District were contacted by Jack Holt from My Therapy to tell us what he had been doing.
In Jack’s own words he told us:
“People who will know me and that work with me know I am very precious about my beard; I haven't been clean shaven for 7-9 years and I go for a beard groom and trim monthly without fail.
At work it's optional to be fitted for a fit mask which enables me to deal with those patients at high risk of contracting Covid-19. Unfortunately, that means I will have to go clean shaven the full beard has to go for the first time in many many years.
I thought it would be a good idea to get a bit of something for local charities so I have chosen AGE UK Wakefield District's Wraparound Service to donate 75 % of the funds to; and 25% I will buy food and give to local foodbanks. I wanted the charities to be local.
I can’t believe how much this has taken off and within 20 minutes there was £175. I targeted £200 and thought it would take several weeks. I couldn't believe it. I am keeping the page open for 2 weeks for any more donations”.

Thank You Jack...
We would like to give a big massive ‘Thank you’ to Jack for this very kind and thoughtful donation to our Wraparound Service and can assure Jack and everyone who supports him that the donation will make a difference to the support and help we can provide for older people in the Wakefield District.
