Fundraising Sponsored Walk
We joined this wonderful Nordic Walking group at Nostell Priory on Tuesday. They meet every week in front of the House at 9.30am for a 10am start. The group is free to join although the National Trust do have a charge for non-members to park.
After a warm up, the group divided into a longer 6 mile round trip walk to Wintersett or a shorter 3 mile walk around the Nostell Priory grounds. The shorter walk was wheelchair accessible and took around one hour followed by a warming drink in the café.
The group nominated Age UK Wakefield District as their chosen charity and we are so grateful to all their efforts and donations. Their fundraising will go towards our work supporting local, older people over the next few difficult, winter months.
