Warm Homes Campaign

As part of the national Warm Homes campaign, our teams have delivered 209 benefit entitlement sessions since October 2020 and brought an extra £298,659.02 into the district in additional benefits!

By helping people to access benefits they didn't know they were entitled to, we are able to increase their income to help cover the higher costs of fuel over the cold, winter months.

• The Warm House Discount - a one off payment of £140 paid directly to participating energy companies, many of whom have reached their quota for this season and will no longer accept the discount.
• Attendance Allowance - Helps with extra costs if you have a disability severe enough that you need someone to help look after you and are aged 65 or over.
• Pension Credit - An income related benefit which may top up your weekly income if you are of pensionable age.
• Personal Independence Payment - Can help you with some of the extra costs if you have a long term ill-health or disability and are under pensionable age
