Age UK Wakefield District is a local charity promoting the well-being of older people throughout the Wakefield District and aiming to help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.  To develop our support services to older people in the community we are looking for committed and enthusiastic people to join our staff team.

Salary

£8.50 per hour

Hours

Full time and part time positions available

Flexible rosters are available to work across all days of the week with an expectation that a minimum of 15 hours are worked per week.

Throughout the Wakefield Metropolitan District 

Job Description

Home Support Assistants will support older people in their own homes, and out in their local area, to meet individual social and domestic needs.  Examples include: general housework, shopping, supporting customers to attend appointments, enabling customers to access community based activities/amenities and aid communication/visits to family and friends.

We are also in the process of registering with the Care Quality Commission to provide Personal Services.

To meet expected demand we are expanding the number of Home Support Service Assistants.  As such completed and returned application forms are being considered on a fortnightly basis. 

These tailored packages of social and domestic support are designed to meet a widespread demand for quality services throughout the Wakefield District.

It is essential that all applicants hold a full driving licence with use of a car at all times.
