Online exercise classes created for those aged over 50

Are you missing your regular exercise routines/classes or would you like to try and improve your general levels of fitness to keep active and mobile?

Then our online classes may be just what you need.

Working with qualified tutors we have developed a selection of online exercise classes which you can access in a variety of ways.   The pre-recorded sessions are available by going to our Exercise classes section which also includes some armchair exercises created by the Durham University Fitness Team. 

There is a choice of three FREE half hour classes

  • Standing exercise
  • Tai chi
  • Qigong

These exercises are ideal for keeping you mobile and improving your confidence for day to day activities.  We are also developing classes that will be ‘live’ using the online Zoom forum where the tutors will be able to interact with those taking part.
