AGE UK COUNTY DURHAM HOT MEALS SERVICE

Published on 21 August 2023 01:40 PM

Age UK County Durham is working with Shildon Town Council, Shildon Alive and Jubilee Fields Community Centre to deliver hot meals during the colder months to people aged over 50 years living in Shildon and surrounding area.

Starting in September 2023, the project aims to support people aged 50 years and over for whom a hot meal and other support is often out of reach.

If you are lonely and socially isolated, living with a physical or mental disability or struggling financially then this project is for you.

It’s simple, you can register yourself or if you know someone who could benefit from this service, please call us and we will do the rest. If you need a home visit to help with forms or to check your eligibility then just ask. We’re here to help!

Shildon Town Council are the main contact for this new service and the referral process is simple. You can call them on 01388 772563

So, don’t delay, make the call today and secure your fresh, hot, tasty meal delivered direct to your door.
