Big Help Out

Published on 24 April 2023 12:47 PM

The Big Help Out, a national volunteering campaign, is taking place over King Charles III coronation bank holiday weekend. Across the UK, people are being encouraged to lend a hand in their local area by volunteering on Monday 8 May 2023.

But as you all know, volunteering is so much more than one day.  Our volunteers work hard all year round supporting us and our local communities.

So during this time of celebration, we’d like to take the opportunity to thank all our volunteers at Age UK County Durham, they play a vital role in supporting our work for the benefit of older people living in County Durham.

Our volunteers are involved in our retail outlets, helping in the community, working with our information and advice team, supporting our regular activity sessions and as members of our Board of Trustees.  Without them, their time, energy, enthusiam and commitment, we simply couldn’t achieve as much as we do.

They are an inspiration to us all and we are very proud of them.

If you would like to find out how you could make a difference to your community and help us continue our work in the County, call us on 0191 386 3856 or email us at info@ageukcountydurham.org.uk to start your volunteering journey with us.
Congratulations to King Charles III on his coronation
