Urgent need for Charity Shop volunteers

Volunteers are  urgently needed for our first Age UK County Durham Charity Shop - opening soon.   Please contact us on 0191 374 6570 for more information about volunteering in our shop.

What do we do?

We provide a wide variety of services for older people in County Durham and rely on our volunteers to help us continue our work.  You can make a difference to the community by volunteering with Age UK County Durham.

Why should you volunteer with us?

  • Learn new skills
  • Gain experience
  • Meet new people
  • Feel good about helping others
Be more involved in your community
  • Have fun and increase your confidence

Volunteers can be involved from just a few hours a week (or more) depending on their role with us.

We provide support and training to all our volunteers.  Some volunteer roles may also require Disclosure Barring Service certification (DBS) as our services support vulnerable older people.
