Join us for our Ageing Well One Stop Shop on International Day of Older Persons

Age UK Northamptonshire is delighted to invite older people, their families, friends and carers to join us on Thursday 1st October 2026 for a special event celebrating the International Day of Older Persons.

Our Ageing Well One Stop Shop – What's on Your Doorstep? event will bring together local organisations, community groups and services that can help people stay independent, connected, active and well as they grow older.

Whether you're looking for information, support, activities, advice or new opportunities to get involved in your local community, this event is a great chance to discover what's available across Northamptonshire.

Visitors will be able to meet a wide range of organisations that support older people, not just through information and advice, but through interactive activities, demonstrations and discussions. We want the afternoon to be engaging, informative and enjoyable, giving people the opportunity to try something new, ask questions and make valuable local connections.

We will also be inviting attendees to share their views about ageing well in Northamptonshire. What works well in your local area? What challenges do you face? What would help you stay connected, independent and supported for longer? Your feedback will help shape conversations about how we can work together to make Northamptonshire an even better place to grow older.

Everyone is welcome, whether you are an older person looking for support and opportunities, a family member helping a loved one navigate later life, or a carer seeking information and advice.
