Charity's quality standard

A leading Sheffield charity’s quality of service has been given the tick of approval following a recent external inspection.

Age UK Sheffield has been re-confirmed as conforming to the British Standard ISO 9001 following a CQS (Certified Quality Systems) audit.

The visit found Age UK Sheffield to be “compliant in all areas audited” with “no non-conformances against the Standard.”

The charity provides information, advice and advocacy services to people aged 50 or over in Sheffield, as well as running a dementia centre and a help at home service.

Age UK Sheffield Chief Executive, Steve Chu, said: “We are very clear that we want older people in Sheffield to have access to high quality services so it is reassuring when an independent auditor confirms we are fully compliant with the published standards.”

He continued: “We know older people have a choice of local providers of dementia services and support in the home. The ISO 9001 award is a widely-recognised standard. People will know if they attend our Wellbeing Centre, or receive our ‘At Home With Age UK Sheffield’ service, they are choosing a high quality service they can trust.”
