Corona Virus Update...

From September 1st 2020, both of our shops have re-opened with the following changes implemented due to Covid-19

Opening Hours

Open 9am – 5pm Monday- Saturday (closed on Sundays)

Open 10am – 4pm Tuesday – Saturday
(closed on Sundays & Mondays)

Donations accepted between 10am – 1pm Monday – Friday (cannot accept donations on Saturdays and closed on Sundays)

Every penny spent in the shop directly funds the services provided for people in Sheffield. These services are provided by our independent charity, Age UK Sheffield.

Could you donate items to sell in our new shops?
Whether they’re unwanted gifts, that dress you only wore once, or your loved and cared-for nick-nacks, please bring them to us to recycle for someone else’s use. We can even claim gift aid on your donation if you are a UK tax payer! Please see table below for donations we can and cannot accept. Please also view our table at the top of th epage to find ou when you can donate. 

Amount of donations and what we can & cannot accept:
We are so grateful for donations that help us raise money for our charity, however we can only accept a certain amount of donations, this is because we must wait 72 hours before opening any donated bags of items. Therefore, donations are limited to:  A maximum of 2 bags per person/family, per day. (bag sizes should be equivalent to: 2 black bin bags, 4 small shop carrier bags or 2 bags for life.)

Volunteer in our Shop

Would you like to be part of a friendly retail team? Do you enjoy meeting and talking to different people everyday? Are you looking for a varied and practical volunteering role? If yes, then volunteering in one of our new shops might be perfect for you! It's a role where you can apply and develop your retail and people skills, while raising crucial funds to support the aims of Age UK Sheffield. No experience necessary!
There are so many activities that contribute to the success of our shops. Here are just some that you may be involved in:

• Operate the till and promote Gift Aid to donors
• Accept donations
• Prepare and price donations for sale
• Help create eye-catching window displays
• Contribute to a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for customers and volunteers.
