The Dementia Advice Service workshops are delivered by Enrichment for the Elderly in partnership with Age UK Sheffield for Dementia Advice Sheffield.

After attending this, the person:
- recognises how dementia affects the brain
- understands the impact dementia can have on communication
- recognises the importance of changes in memory and how this can affect a person
- can see the changes they can make to support someone living with dementia

Silver sessions - https://www.eventbrite.com/e/335415415537?aff=oddtdtcreator

After attending this, the person:
- recognises the label of dementia and how it can affect someone
- understands the impact dementia has on the senses and how this will change how someone will interact with their environment
- understands the impact dementia may have on behaviour and how this might change our perception as professionals
- can see the changes they can make to support someone living with dementia

After attending this, the person:
- readily implements understanding
- recognises the different types of dementia
- includes people living with dementia in decision-making and engagement, understanding how this can be implemented in your role
- can see the changes they can make to support someone living with dementia

Dementia Stars is delivered as a rolling programme, but dates aren't released more than 3 months in advance.  So check the links regularly for new dates.
