Jas and Ian Take to the Skies!

Published on 17 June 2021 01:00 PM

Solihull radio presenter, Jas Rohel, was one of two individuals who recently took part in a tandem skydive in aid of local older people’s charity, Age UK Solihull.

Jas, who presents weekly educational and business programmes on Solihull Radio, says “When I was asked to support Age UK Solihull, I JUMPED at the chance to help - I literally didn't think the jump was going to be so big and out of a plane. Presenting shows on Solihull Radio means I get to talk to amazing people all the time. The work that Age UK Solihull do for the older people in our local community is invaluable and a much-needed support to our older community.”

Thanks to her supporters, Jas has raised £1,762 and with gift aid added, this takes the total to a whopping £2,093.

Also jumping on the same day and raising money, but at a different airfield, was Solihull Council employee, Ian Lewis.

Lorraine Hart, Fundraising Manager at Age UK Solihull, said, “Jas and Ian did an amazingly brave feat in skydiving out of a plane and thank you to all their friends and family for helping them raise such a fantastic sum”.
