Carers Week 2025 – Caring About Equality

Carers Week

This Carers Week (9–16 June), we're proud to stand with thousands of individuals and organisations across the UK to recognise the incredible contribution of unpaid carers and to call for greater equality for all who care.

The theme this year, "Caring About Equality," shines a light on the inequalities unpaid carers face every day. From a greater risk of poverty and social isolation to poorer mental and physical health, far too many carers of all ages miss out on vital opportunities in education, careers, and their personal lives due to the demands of their caring role.

At Age Cymru Dyfed, we believe in a society where carers are valued, recognised, and properly supported. Carers Week is not only a time to raise awareness and highlight the challenges unpaid carers face,  it’s also a chance to reach those who may not yet identify as carers, helping them to access the support and resources they deserve.

We’re delighted to be taking part in the Carers Week Wellbeing and Information Day at Parc Dewi Sant on Tuesday 10 June. This free event is open to all;  come along, connect with local services, and find out more about the support available in your community.

Let’s come together this Carers Week to celebrate carers, raise awareness, and take steps toward a more equal and supportive society for everyone who cares.
