Supporting Veterans

West Wales Veterans Archive (WWVA)

We are passionate about helping older veterans share their military experiences and preserve their stories to be enjoyed by all generations. Our pioneering veterans archive holds accounts provided by military veterans aged 65+. This is located in the People’s Collection within the National Library of Wales. Supported by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, the archive will be a
valuable, publicly accessible and sustainable learning resource. You can access the collection by visiting: www.peoplescollection.wales/users/44171.

The project is covering Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion, so if you live in one of these areas and think you could become a member of this unique team, please call 03333 447 874 for free or send an email to hugh.morgan@agecymrudyfed.org.uk

Veterans Never to Be Forgotten

Our dedicated colleagues and volunteers offer a range of support to promote independence for older veterans. We provide Information and Advice including free benefits checks and dementia advice. Our practical services help with jobs around the house, such as a handyperson or gardening. We also offer digital support to keep you connected; our Digital Champions can help you make the most out oftechnology. Some of these services are dependent on available volunteers in your area.

If you know of a veteran who would like support please email p.mcilroy@agecymrudyfed.org.uk or ring 03333 447 874 for free.
