With the help of funding from Santander we have made a short film on how we help the people of Dyfed love later life in West Wales. We hope you like it!

"We're here to support people aged 50+ but also their families and their carers. And generally to build resilience and independence for older people. We want to help Dyfed love later life. We offer services and support, to make friends, combat loneliness and isolation. To help them to make sure they're getting all the entitlements and grants that they're eligible for."

"10 years ago, my wife, Linda, went in with a headache. Two weeks later, she passed away. It was that quick. So it took some getting used to. I think if I'd have been at home just caring for my husband, I think I may have had a nervous breakdown. I nearly didn't go. But I thought, no, I need to go. And that's when I first met Rhiannon and Jeremy. And I started going...and I've been going ever since."

"When you've got a digital champion like Michelle, you've got that security and safety net. You know, you can move on and do things that you otherwise wouldn't."

"I had a message from one of our clients one day, an email to say "I'm hand gliding off the Pyrenees. I thought good grief, I only saw him two days ago. He was on VR, I realised he'd bought his own set because he'd been so impressed with what we'd had."

"The group has been a lifeline. They just make me laugh when I'm here. You know, you just feel refreshed. Age Cymru Dyfed is a gift to so many people. Yeah it's a gift... it's a miracle for some. When I went then with Age Cymru Dyfed I thought, "Oh, I like this." And that's what I needed.
