Tegwen Devichand has just stepped down after committing to Age Cymru Dyfed as a trustee for a number of years.

Peter Hamilton, Board Chair at Age Cymru Dyfed noted her particular contributions to Age Cymru Dyfed:

"We'd like to thank Tegwen and she will be missed by all the trustees here at Age Cymru Dyfed.

"Tegwen brought a great deal of her considerable experience to help guide and move the Charity forward. In particular her background in the public sector was a great asset, indeed she will be missed."

Tegwen was born and brought up in the Rhondda valley. She moved to Llanelli 34 years ago. During this time, she volunteered for the Citizens Advice Bureau and also worked as a regional member for the Cooperative Group.

She has held numerous positions within the Council including Chair of Carmarthenshire County Council where, as well as her official duties she supported and raised funds for many charitable organisations. Currently she continues to volunteer her services as a school governor and Vice Chair of the Credit Union.
