3CIPA

Advocacy provides support when you need it most, helping you to have your voice heard and your rights upheld.

Age Cymru Dyfed is a partner in the 3CIPA Independent Professional Advocacy service, which supports adults across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire to take part fully in decisions about their care, support and wellbeing.

How an advocate can support you

An independent advocate can:

  • Listen to you and help you express your views and wishes
  • Support you to have your voice heard
  • Help you understand your options and make informed choices
  • Support you with meetings, including speaking with services alongside you
  • Help you understand and uphold your rights
  • Provide information about relevant legislation and what it means for you

Advocates may sometimes need to work differently to keep people safe, but they will always aim to find ways to support you.

About the 3CIPA service

3CIPA is a partnership of experienced and qualified advocacy providers, commissioned by the local authorities in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire to deliver Independent Professional Advocacy in both Welsh and English.

The service is free to access, confidential and independent of all other services.

3CIPA has been recognised for the quality of its work through the award of the Advocacy Quality Performance Mark (QPM).
