Providing information in Northamptonshire
Age UK Northamptonshire was delighted to attend a Welcome Event in Northampton on Saturday 14th January for people settling in Northampton as Hong Kong British National (Overseas) Visa holders. The event was organised by West Northamptonshire Council in partnership with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities and East Midlands Council.
Around 150 people enjoyed a delicious buffet, browsed information stands and heard messages of support from Mrs Morcea Walker, the Vice-Lord Lieutenant of Northamptonshire, Cllr Andre Gonzalez De Savage, chairman of West Northamptonshire Council, (pictured above with Debs Burns [right] of the Council), and Cllr Jonathan Nunn, Leader of West Northamptonshire Council (not pictured). Andrew Lewer MP and Cllr Keith Holland-Delamere also attended the event which was held at the Guildhall.
The East Midlands is a diverse area, centrally located in the UK and with many job opportunities and excellent transport links. We hope that everyone who attended the event found it useful and encouraging.
