Donations collected in East Hunsbury

First collection of the year is a hit with donors
Shop Manager Yvette Prior and her Stock Manager colleague Emma Milne were delighted by the generosity of local residents when they set up a static donations collection point in the car park of The Collingtree Pub in East Hunsbury. The furniture van stood ready to be filled with items on Tuesday 5th May from 10am to 1pm.
Age UK Northamptonshire's eleven charity shops raise vital funds that support the services the charity provides throughout the county, so keeping the shops well-stocked with good quality items is essential. As well as welcoming donations of clothing, books, toys and bric-a-brac at the shops Yvette and her team also organise occasional static donations collections throughout Northamptonshire, making it easier for people to bring their unwanted but saleable items to us.
Yvette and Anne were kept busy all morning, gratefully receiving bags and boxes of donations from local people.
"We had a fantastic day," says Yvette. "Thank you to everyone who came along with their items. Every penny spent in our shops enables us to help local older people and we appreciate your support."
We hope to organise further static donations collections in 2026. Keep an eye on this website for future dates.
