Age UK Kensington and Chelsea staff go the Extra Mile!

On Saturday 28th April two members of Age UK Kensington and Chelsea staff, Beth Colquhoun and Jon Fryer, ran their own specially designed marathon to raise money for our front line services.

Their route around Kensington and Chelsea, shown below, saw them start in Sloane Square and finish in Holland Park, passing the homes of many of our members, volunteers and community partners along the way. And in the spirit of the campaign, they literally went the Extra Mile by running 27.2 miles in total!

The completed the gruelling course in just over 5 hours and we are delighted to say they raised over £4,700 for Age UK K&C's front line services, which provide companionship and support to hundreds of older people in our community.

If you'd like to donate and help Beth and Jon reach their target of £6,000, there is still time to sponsor them via their BT MyDonate page here. Anything you can give, large or small, will be greatly appreciated.
