What Should I be doing?

Corona Virus

Last Friday the Prime Minister announced the creation of a new, stricter Tier 4 just days after reiterating that festive plans would go ahead across the country. The new restrictions are being imposed in London, Kent and Essex, and other parts of the South East. Those in Tier 4 cannot mix indoors with anyone not from their household. Elsewhere in England, Scotland and Wales, relaxed indoor mixing rules are cut from five days to Christmas Day, with households outside of Tier 4 areas allowed to mix for a single day, December 25th, and with long distance travel discouraged.

For the clinically extremely vulnerable people living in Tier 4 areas, official advice has been updated at the weekend, and advises people to stay at home, don’t go to school or work or go to the shops. Such individuals are advised to register for support, here.

Age UK will be offering support through its Advice Line and Friendship service, Silver Line, throughout the Christmas period. The Advice Line is open everyday, including Christmas Day and Boxing Day, from 8am to 7pm. The Silver Line is open 24 hours a day.
