Our offer
Job Title: Support Worker – Wraparound
Salary: £23,569 per annum - £12.25 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week
Contract Term: Permanent
Location: Based at Bank Street, Castleford but expected to conduct support sessions across the Wakefield district as required. This will include visits to clients’ homes
Responsible to: Mental Health Lead

Our Wraparound Service offers emotional and wellbeing support to older adults who may be feeling low, anxious, lonely, or coping with loss and major life changes.

The Role
As a Wraparound Support Worker, you’ll be a trusted listener and a gentle guide. You’ll work with older adults one-to-one or in small groups- by phone, in their homes, or out in the community- offering time, space, and understanding as they explore ways to improve their emotional wellbeing.
You’ll help people set personal goals, connect with local support networks, and take small, meaningful steps toward feeling more confident, connected, and hopeful about the future.

About you
You’re empathetic, a great listener, and passionate about supporting others. You’ll bring:
- Experience in a mental health or wellbeing support role
- Understanding of older adults’ emotional health needs
- Confidence delivering support face-to-face, by phone, or online
- Strong communication, organisation, and record-keeping skills
- A caring, person-centred approach
