Are you interested in helping Age Cymru Dyfed and Aberystwyth University in researching physical health for sedentary individuals?
Study 1: Balance & Gait Study (Cross-Sectional Study)
Aberystwyth University is recruiting volunteers to take part in a study exploring how balance and walking change with age. This research will help develop better strategies to prevent falls and improve mobility.
The criteria to participate is:
- Adults who want to contribute to research on movement and aging
- No history of severe mobility impairments
Study 2: The TRAIN Study (Longitudinal Study 3 Months)
Sedentary lifestyles can increase health risks, but what type of exercise works best? The TRAIN Study (Testing different exercise regimes in sedentary volunteers for cardiovascular improvement) will investigate the benefits of different exercise routines for cardiovascular health.
- Adults not regularly active (less than 30 minutes physical activity per day)
- No diagnosed cardiometabolic diseases
- Ready to commit to a 3-month monitored exercise program
Both studies are safe, supervised, and led by experts. Your participation could help shape future health recommendations and benefit your own well-being!
