Hovertravel provides the fastest Isle of Wight ferry route across the Solent and takes you directly to the shore at Southsea or Ryde in under 10 minutes. Easy onward travel connections are available with the Hoverbus to Portsmouth, bus and train connections at Ryde plus large car parks at both terminals.

Hovertravel offers a free HoverCare service for any passengers requiring assistance with their travel whether they have reduced mobility requirements or just need a little extra help with their journey. There are also discounted fares for NHS patients.

Hovertravel is committed to inclusive travel for all and work closely with industry partners to ensure they not only meet their obligations but exceed these to ensure all can travel with ease. They work with local and national advisor groups & charities to keep abreast of customer wishes and they welcome feedback to further improve services.

Wildheart Animal Sanctuary

Based in Sandown with a mission to protect wildlife. Housing a variety of animals but specialising in big cats and lemurs. A programme of age friendly events and an accessible site. They provide assistance to use their online booking system and they also provide an alternative to their online booking system where visitors without internet access can pay for admission on the day.


Monkey Haven - Primate Rescue Centre

A VisitEngland award-winning sanctuary dedicated to caring for animals in need. A programme of age friendly events and talks throughout the day, along with visual information on the animals. They provide assistance to use their online booking system and they also provide an alternative where visitors without internet can pay for admission on the day. 

A fully accessible site with flat, wide pathways allowing close access to the animals. Benches and seating are situated at regular intervals throughout the park and there is easy parking and a bus stop not far from the entrance. An accessible website and free Wifi is available within the park and staff are trained to help, so please ask should you need anything.
