Age UK Isle of Wight Encourages Donations of Winter Fuel Payment to Support Older People

Published on 21 February 2024 01:30 PM

Age UK Isle of Wight is calling on individuals who have not needed to use their Winter Fuel payment to consider donating it to support their charity's core services for older people. The organisation's "Spread The Warmth" campaign aims to help older individuals live well in later life by providing essential support and services.

Following an appeal for Winter Fuel Payment donations, Age UK Isle of Wight has been delighted to receive contributions from generous individuals. The charity now invites others to join in this meaningful initiative and contribute to making a difference in the lives of older members of the community.

The Winter Fuel Payment is not means-tested, and not everyone may require to use the full amount they receive. Age UK Isle of Wight encourages those who are in a position to do so to donate all or a portion of their Winter Fuel Payment to support the charity's efforts in assisting older individuals.

For those unable to donate the full amount, even a small percentage of the Winter Fuel Payment can have a significant impact and help make a positive difference in the lives of older people on the Isle of Wight.
