Could You Be a Lifeline for Older People in West Somerset?

In West Somerset – particularly Minehead and Watchet – many older people are currently missing out on the support they need. Why? Because we simply don’t have enough Information and Advice Volunteers in the area.

At Age UK Somerset, our volunteers make a real difference. Our information and Advice Volunteers, after training, visit older poeple at home and assist them in completing benefit claims forms such as Attendance Allowance. These benefits often go unclaimed and can make a real difference in day to day life for those who are struggling. 

This is a rewarding role that offers full training and support. Whether you're retired, working part-time, or just have a few hours to spare, your time could change someone’s life.
