Age UK Somerset is delighted to announce that Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club has raised an impressive £6,700 in support of the charity.

The funds were raised during the 2025-26 captaincy year of Club Captain Trevor French and Ladies Captain Hilary Parker, who chose Age UK Somerset as their charity of the year.

Throughout the year, a variety of fundraising events were held, bringing together club members and the wider community. One of the highlights was the club’s 33rd Charity Pro Am, which took place in July and contributed significantly to the total raised.

The generosity and commitment shown by everyone involved has been truly appreciated, with the funds helping Age UK Somerset continue its vital work supporting older people across the county.

A cheque presentation took place at the club, where Trevor French and Hilary Parker presented the donation to Age UK Somerset Chair, Steve Holt.

Speaking about the fundraising, Age UK Somerset expressed its sincere thanks to both captains and all those who contributed, noting the positive impact such support has on the charity’s ability to reach those who need it most.
