Hillsborough Community Art Show Returns This August

The Hillsborough Community Art Show returns this August, celebrating creativity, community and shared experiences through a colourful exhibition of work by local artists and community groups.
The exhibition features artwork from independent Sheffield artists alongside creative projects developed by community organisations across the city. Visitors will also be able to see co-produced artwork created with Age UK Sheffield's Young-Onset Hub dementia group, developed through AI-supported creative workshops in partnership with The University of Sheffield and Lancaster University. The work explores creativity, memories and personal experiences in new and inspiring ways.
This year's exhibition is dedicated to the memory of Derek Ellis, whose unique collage artworks inspired the first community art show at Hillsborough Pavilion. Derek was a well-known figure in Hillsborough, and his creativity continues to inspire the local community.
Artwork from community groups including Age UK Sheffield Wellbeing Centres, Royal Voluntary Service, Creative Connections and the University of Sheffield will be on display.
Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy a weekend of local art, conversation and community spirit.
Opening Night: 29 August 2026, 5pm to 8pm
Open Day: 30 August 2026, 11am to 5pm
