Careers Week

 Larks Hill Infant & Junior school invited Age UK Wakefield District into their special event - Careers Week.  We visited year 2 and 4 to talk about the variety of jobs we have available and how we support local older people in different ways.

Our Communications manager discussed the way we share our offer through verbal, written and digital platforms and how important it is to keep in contact with isolated, older people.

Year 2 made some beautiful pictures for us to hand out to some of the lonely older people we support

Year 4 wrote some hthings they like about school and thought about how different things might have been when their grandparents were at school

Then we took part in some chair based exercises and disucssed how important it is to look after our mental and physical health
